I cant wait for dat ride!!! I usually pay around $25 to mount and balance for each tire and thats with me taking them(15 minutes each) off but it depends on which one I get to mount them usually I use Johnstons in Russ. because they're good people and they'll get to ya as soon as they can and work you in. I've also used the Suzuki shop and the Yamaha shop and they're about the same in price. Honda of Russ is always pretty busy and can't ever work me in but they did mount one for my bro and only charged him $15.00 and I think that was just mounting with NO balancing.
I've got to take my front wheel off and put new bearings and seals in it tommorrow. My bro and I were gonna ride to Russ yesterday and stopped at the bank and I was gonna check out the squeaking brake problem I had. We'll it wasn't a brake issue, the seal was popped out and the ball bearings are completely gone only thing left is inner and outer races man that scared the crap out of me thinking that in a few minutes we would have been hauling ass and who knows what would have happened when the other bearing finally way and went out too if I didn't noticed the first one bad. I ordered bearings awhile back just for spares and I'm glad I did now. I got them from Hondaonlineparts.com for about $14 each, try getting them from a stealer and see what they charge.....Later, Dave
yeah---goodthing you checked that out....you really seem to know your stuff dude....Me--i dont know squat and I really would like to learn...Makes me think---we ought to have a tech meeting with those intrested so that you dudes that know the ins and outs of the mighty x could teach us some basic stuff...if you were willing. In fact, I wouldn't mind riding up there some afternoon if you would just go over some of this stuff with me...I'd really like to learn how to do some of this maintenance work on my bike as my funds are damn near gone and I dont mind giving my money to the stealership if they only acted like they gave a damn about me...The Suzuki dealership I used for my two prior rides were excellent and at least acted like they cared about you and your safety out there....Hey! You are doing the 24th ride right???Let me know......thanks kevin

And for anyone that wants to learn about the X all they have to do is buy a Service manual (Best $40 I've spent) because it has just about anything you need to know except the tools and the mechanical ability that you'll have to have. YES I am planning on doing the ride. I haven't talked to any of the guys I ride with about it yet but I expect at least 2 or 3 of them will come along. Later Dude, Dave
hee hee......thing is....you are alot closer than he is man.....I am gonna try to save this last little bit of my tires for the ride.....I wouldnt ride beside me on any twisties tho.......
