Hey All,

The Carolina X Riders would like to invite ya'll to a weekend at the Kickstand Lodge in NC. It is located close to the Dragon and Cherohala Skyway and lots of other great riding roads. It is scheduled for May 5-7,2006. Visit the following links for more info.

after looking at the cabins there is some of us that will have to leave the door open so we can stretch out, I have seen bigger out houses :lol:

How many people are planning on attending this ride? My sons soccer team has a game on the 6th. Since they call me the coach I'm going to have it moved so I can attend the ride.
This may be the ride that replaces Colorado for me this summer.

Me sad? nope, did I want them to call me? nope, and I hate to be the one that tells you................but your always off, so much that you are not right (MeNtAlLy) And that is sad for some one to type in all caps and ride a pink metro (with flowers) and to let you know I work seven days a week until the end of school (by my choice) trying to change the world, on kid at a time :lol: until we meet again take care and get a hair cut fruitloop!

It looks like I the soccer game will be moved from May 6th to April 8th. I'm 90% sure that I'm going. Just remember who ever I have with me her name will be Kim or Mrs. Longnite. Keeps me out of trouble.

:mcrider: 38 Days away

So far riders are coming from both Carolina's, Oklahoma, Georgia, Florida, Indiana, and a few from TN and KY are talking about riding in for a day.

This is going to be fun, just wish it was a full week, but at least we're coming early. Just so many good roads in that area, it's impossible to ride 'em all and see all there is to see. Fortunately I don't live that far away.

Tom really got something good going here !! I'm already looking forward to the second annual. :wink:

Are you guys "Indyuckys" planning to camp at the Kickstand? Not much of a camper but might consider tagging along if I can find a motel room nearby.

Do to the fact we are leaving late in the afternoon we will find a place in southern KY along 75. Then finish the ride in friday morning. Yes we are staying at the Kickstand lodge friday and saturday. We plan on starting back home on sunday morning. I will pm my cell # to you. (TIMMER)

Just plotted the way in to Stecoah and Tuskeegee from the North on the GPS mapping software..... Quickest way in is throught the Dragon..........

Don't let it scare ya. Just ride it like any other road, you get into trouble when you try to push it. We rode it last year in the dark and thru the fog, pretended it was Dragons breath and told my girlfriend I was putting him to bed. Made it a lot of fun, the Cherohala is the one that will get you, it will lull you to sleep with it's long sweepers and beautiful scenery and then throw a decreasing radius turn at you when you least expect it. Just be alert and ride your own ride, don't let anybody push you past your limits. Ride easy and enjoy the beauty of the Smokies.
