OK... am installing the electronics on the bike for the summer... Have GPS and cell phone covered but want XM radio..... Don't want to spend a couple of hundred bucks for a supplementary amplifier for a Roady or a Sky Fi... That leads me to the MYFI... Understand that it needs the supplementary antenna.... Anyone make a handlebar mount for the MyFi similar to those for the Roady2 or the SkyFi for the MyFi????? I have an Autocom intercom system for plugging all of this stuff into my helmet but need a solution fot XM radio... Anyone?????

No need for an antenna on the MYFi....it has in internal antenna. If you are riding thru mountains and thru tunnels of trees all the time, then an antenna might be necessary. But when I use my MyFi on the highway, I never need an antenna.

Thanks Eric-

Do you use the internal battery or is it hard wired to the bike? Does anyone know if the cigarette lighter plug is 12 volt or does it step down the voltage? Thinking about wiring it directly into a 12 volt accessory block. Have so many devices needing power thought that a fuzed block would be the best solution rather than having a hundred wires attached to the battery.

I use the internal battery....and bought an extra battery just in case, but haven't had to use it yet. Just make sure to turn your backlight off on the screen, and the battery lasts a LONG time.

How about this for a MyFi mount....

That's the Leader cell phone caddy and the MyFi belt clip.

I use the internal battery...lasts 5 hours. Also, I got a new replacement battery (the white one) for free, so I can go for 10 hours. Also, I have the 4' micro antenna which sits on the bar right next to the clutch master cylinder. Reception is outstanding.

Ditto that. Love mine - looks great in middle of handlebars and is obscure enough that no one really knows it is there so it is less tempting when parked. Very protected from the elements there, too. If you run into rain, you can just slip a sandwich size baggie over the unit and it stays perfectly dry.

Have had this mount for almost a year now and never had to readjust. Chrome still looks like new.
