Hey K-dog, my plans have changed and I will see you guys on top of the mountain, with camera in hand. There may be a few others that want to tag along, they don't drive the VTX, but are sporting Honda's. LOL

Hey dog, My bro and I are gonna make it but I haven't heard from my other riding buddy Bud from Booneville yet. I saw were another guy from Booneville was planning on making the ride, but I haven't heard the route he's taking but I'd assume it will be south on 23. Are you still planning on meeting at the Ola Superette and then riding down 28 to Mena. If you are let me know a time so I can pass the word. I think 9:00 is a good time to meet and give the ones going that route plenty of time to gas up drink a coke choke a biscuit down or just BS a little while and still have time to make it to Mena by 11:00 or so. Later, Dave

I don't think there will be enough time to do the Talimena drive, all of it anyway. I think alot of us will have a pretty good ride back to the house, I know it will not apply to all.

I've only rode up to the lodge before so If anyone is gonna ride past that after lunch I'll probably go along myself for the scenery. The Parkway goes into Oklahoma doesn't it. I talked to Bud and he's not gonna be able to make this one. So Kevin as of right now it'll just be me and my bro meeting up in Ola but I know a few more that might wanna ride along. Cya, Dave

I'm not sure what the rest of the Oklahoma group is planning. I'm heading back west after lunch. the lodge is at the top of the first moutain there's about 50 miles of great road and scenery on the way to Talahina. From there you can go back a couple of ways.

Oh I definetly wanna ride the Parkway...One way you can do it is to ride the Parkway to the End on Oklahoma and if you want a different scene you can ride 270 back at the bottom of the Parkway..I personally dont like to see the same road twice however, the Parkway is actually a little different each way..So I might just go back in reverse or ride 270...Personally, after that will probably leave Mena going south on scenic 8 down towards Norman and then up 27 North to Danville and back over to Scenic 7 back south to Hot Springs and then pass out.....Hard to say...hee=hee...Hell, I might even take 71 south out of Mena to Texarkana where they are having a little hoe down because I love nothing better than going really really fast between Texarkana and Hot Springs on I-30...You can really fly on that bad boy.....Hum......decisions...

Hey Sparky...looks like we might be setting up a good group from Oklahoma. We will stay in contact, and figure out what time to meet you in Heavener. How long will it take to get from you to the lodge?

I'm about 62 miles west of Heavener. Yahoo maps says it will take 1 hour and 42 min. to get there. Aparently they don't ride a VTX. If we can all meet in Heavener around 11:00 we should have no trouble making the lodge by noon. Looking forward connecting faces with names. I know at least one of the Arkie riders that's coming. Big Poppa helped pick up my belongings off the road on the way to Colo. last year.

I couldn't remember what name you went by but I knew you were from Oklahoma. And to think when my wife said we needed a chase vehicle for that trip to Colorado I thought she was just being a wuss. Well it paid off. You'll remember my bro Cracker on the blurple X he'll be coming along with me on this one to. Later, Dave "Big Poppa"
