Checked into a Pear Tree Inn in Paducah. $59 and change for 2 double beds non smoking April 8th. Within 1/2 mile of a Damons, a Fridays and a Logans Steak House. Cracker Barrel for breakfast. I did not reserve a block of rooms cuz the group rate only saved us $3 a room and they had a 2 week cancellation policy. Call and reserve a room yourself the reservation number is 1 800 378 7946. The local number for the hotel is 1 270 444 7200. This way if we get rained out we can each cancel by 6pm and not be charged. Meeting places Louisville: 8:30am April 8th Dairy Queen Hwy 150 .7 miles north of I64. Kickstands up at 9:00. Hoovey and Racer - we can pick you guys up on the way at Corydon exit and Santa Clause exit. Evansville: Hwy 57 and I 64 Meet at 10:30... Kickstands up at 11:00. I can't remember if it is a Circle A or not but about 1/4 mile north of I-64 on SR 57 is a Gas station/truck stop with a SubWay it's the only place at the exit it should be easy enough to find

No Gold Wings, no Vtxs, no Hondas. This is a Harley Only Ride.................................oops sorry wrong board.. Sure all welcome might even have a friend on a Star. Btw. planning on eating lunch at the lodge at Cave in Rock State Park, just on the other side of the ferry. And yes I have spelled this right Racer. They are not answering their phone right now... think that they may not open till April 1st. Will call then. There are a few.......very few......alternatives if I end up not getting them. Watch this site for more news..... Also since there are a couple of people coming some distance I think that we need to make a decision on a go or a no go (weather) early on Friday... So I will be in consultation with our brain trust... Me, Hoovey, and Racer,........I know,........sorry,......... early on Friday about a decision and one of us will post here one way or another.

This ride sounds like fun. Where is your destination?

This ride sounds like fun. Where is your destination?

South from Evansville through Sturgis to Marion KY. Then across the Ohio river on the Cave in Rock Ferry. Lunch at Cave in Rock Lodge. To Garden of the Gods if the group wants to go.... then south along the river to Paducah where we will spend the night. Next day along the river North on the KY side back to Evansville.... For those continuing to Louisville then along IN 66 along the Ohio River back towards Louisville. See the above post on Hotel reservations. All times I have been listing as Eastern. Hoovey has pointed out that the time will change the week before we go (sometimes I'm not too smart) so I think that we will have to move up the Central time zones 1 hour to adjust.

Yes. That is only about 30 miles from my house.

I can't do the rain date so I hope it is dry on the 8th.

Actually the rain date we originally talked about won't work for me either. Didn't realize that it's Easter weekend. (tells you a litte something about how religious I am). Have inlaws coming to town. I think that a lot of folks have a conflict on that weekend. Would prolly have to look at some later date.

This is probably a stupid question but is Indiana on the same time as we are in Ky? We set our time forward 1 hour this weekend.

Actually not a stupid question at all. Somebody figured the times based on Eastern standard.... Times stated are Louisville time. Will post a corrected itinerary next week with correct local times.

All,
Have a safe trip next weekend. I will say a little pray for you all Saturday morning while I'm still sitting on the beach in Mexico. Please be extra careful since this is the first trip of the year. It is not the bikers that concern me it is the people in cars not looking out for the bikers.

Have fun ride

Dang I was hoping you'd be there to keep Racer inline what are we going to do now? Weather looks like it might cooperate with us so far they are calling for high of 65 and sunny so that means snow showers and cold!!
