Looking for a used x...was wondering if anyone could tell me what a resonable 2000 would go for...it has over 30k miles. They are asking close to 8k. But, haven't had much luck finding anything in my area. (Cedar Rapids)

$8,000 sounds mighty high. I paid $7,000 for my 03 in 04 with 2,000 miles with boss bags,vance and hines exhaust plus alot more chrome. Might want to check out Sindt Honda in Dubuque. Might have some deals on left over new ones. Dave

I checked online, and they don't have anything I'd be interested in.. checked in CR and Iowa City,no dice there either. I knew that was awful high, but don't really wanna buy off ebay, or go to FL to find one either.

I don't know how far your willing to (or wanting to) travel to pick up a bike, but the Storm Lake Honda dealer really is a wheeler-dealer. I traded an '03 1100 Sabre for an '03 1800 "X/R", and got a great deal. I don't have a clue what he has for used, but I'd bet money he's got something you'd like and that he'd make you a good deal. Talk with the owner Larry Schultz.

As far as I know they didn't make a 2000, 1800 They made them in 2001 but I believe they are the 2002s you find.

I bought a leftover 2003 a year and a half ago for $7,999 in Mason City. I know those deals are long gone, but I think 8K for a used bike is alot.

depending on the asseccories.. Think about a 4 piece Ultimate setup would be $800+ new,,, aftermarket pipes would be from $300 to $500 new. You shouldn't have to pay over 50% for used accessories though.
