Why is it all my outdoor interests involve warm weather and I live in New England? I even work outdoors. My youngest kid starts UNH in the fall, and I'm seeing light at the end of the tunnel. My thoughts are turning to ME. (Does this sound familiar to any of you on the high side of 40?)
Who else is entertaining thoughts of selling the big house and heading for a condo or whatever in a place you can ride or boat past October? I haven't seen too much of the country, but I liked parts of Arizona and West Virginia.
Second part of the question: Does anyone else get death stares from their spouse when bringing this up? LOL!
Dave

I hate raking leaves, shoveling snow and Rt 93 traffic headed north on Fridays!

My wife and I moved last year from Nevada to Missouri we like the summer but wish we were in Nevada for winter.
Now we are thinking of South Texas

Hey Dave I would try and sell you on riding snowmobiles in the winter, but this past winter really sucked for that as well.. we have had **** for snow..
and the sleds only got 200 miles of flogging.. try and justify sleds to the wife with that amount of use.. but I am with ya on the friday nights north on 93.. I work in westford ma.. but since live kinda in the middle of 3 and 93.. 3 has been my choice of ride.. and actually very un eventful and a much better comute.. I thought I herd the state was gona make 93 4 lanes wide commin starting with in a year or so.. and that will really screw things up til complete..

I am already thinkin that when the kids are 18 me and the wife are sellin the house, and leving them with a forwarding EMAIL address ONLY..

Kinda hard to track down the new address of a clean quite homestead for me and the wife..

Time for the warm weather to roll in.. but I feel a storm in my bones.. not a good thing since I am ready for the X and some riden..

I have - if I go outside and I get wet, it's gonna rain, if I go outside and can see my breath its gonna be cold, if I go outside and see my breath and it looks like it did when it was raining, it's gonna snow. Being from New Hampshire, if I walk outside and don't notice any of them I wait a minute, it will change! Notice I made no mention of warmth or sun, we don't see those here do we??

Okay - joking aside after I had knee surgery, if the weather changed quick I would feel stiffer in the knee, hasn't been like that lately, maybe because the weather has stunk all winter?? I did get a couple rides in this week though, I know timberghost did too, saw him tooling around a couple times when I was working!

That it does timber - I got back home just in time today, put it in the garage and when I went back to close the door it started to rain - perfect timing!

I was thinking of moving south...may be Hampton or Seabrook. Heh. Actually, once the youngest is done with school we're probably gonna move back Downeast. Lotsa good riding up there. Likely snowbird for part of the winter anyway.

if i was going south, it would be texas. florida is nice but your not safe anywhere in florida from hurricanes, it can come at you from both sides.

atleast texas is just as warm and a house 100 to 200 miles inland would be safe for the most part.
