Need some info on how to install a Garmin GPS. I’m looking at the power supply, any tips on how to install it and wire it up without blowing up the wiring system on the bike.

It's just slightly tedious but for someone like me who is not necessarily mechanically (and certainly not electrically) inclined, it was honestly not difficult at all. You'll be OK.
Anyway, I have Garmin's StreetPilot III and got the entire hardwire kit from "Cycoactive" in 2003 (other hardwire kits are similar and are available for other Garmin models). Here is the link to their hardwire page with instructions and the kits themselves: http://www.cycoactive.com/gps/gps_hardwire.html .

As Blade stated, its pretty easy.
I went straight off the battery with an inline fused power supply purchased for my GPS model.
I wired it under my tank, clipping it into the holders for the throttle cables, and it comes out near the neck covers. I can tuck it back under the tank when I don't have my GPS with me.

I actually found what Nate describes in the above quote to be the most "difficult" part (for me at least), that is, just running your power cord from the front of the bike to the things under the tank you might want it to attach or be clipped to; but as I'm sure Nate will agree, once it's done, it's done! It's a little like a jigsaw puzzle -- not difficult to do, you just have to work slowly and deliberately, a piece at a time. :D
Irrespective of all that, WELCOME to the GPS Club. And now that you'll have your GPS, enjoy and PLEASE, "get LOST!"
