I am looking at puting an aftermarket exhaust on my VTX1800. I am looking at Vance & Hines big shots w/ quiet baffles vs. Hard Krome 2.5" Strippers. I have heard V&H, but not the HK to compare the two. Looking for as deep a rumble I can get, not raspy or blatting. Anyone have the Hard Kromes?

I just put on 3" Big Straights. I had dual side burners, but wanted the option of changing the baffles. They sound real nice & I did not have to add fuel management. They are loud, but not obnoxious, nice deep tone. I have the stock airbox with a K & N filter, no popping or surging. Waiting for Thunder monster baffles to come in for the Big straights.

The Big Straights look good, have you heard the Vance & Hines on an 1800 to hear if they are similar?

Try http://www.kingofthecruisers.com/ . They have sound clips of various exhaust systems on the 1800.

Thanks the site. I think I'm going to have to hear them in person to really tell the differance - can't turn my computer up loud enough to get that rumble in your chest feeling.
