Nothing offical that I know of. Ray was working on a version, don't know if he's done anything lately.

Wild breed I stole off a scetch I found on the net and the fethers just to jazz it up a little But feel free to make any changes to it if you want to? I started out with just the VTX part and added the rest maybe it would be ok just VTX IOWA RIDERS?

Ok, let's get a little more feedback, and I'll check into producing the patch.

Let me know if you prefer the mask size in the first of second one, and if you like the glowing eyes or not.

Also, how big a patch do we want, I'm thinking badge sized for the shoulder.

IMHO. I prefer the second one, "rockin the hogs". Red eyes or not, it looks good with the bigger mask. :D

Actually, "Roaring the Corn" or "Rockin the Hogs" are both good with me.
I do like the mask size on the HOGS patch. I can go either way on the glowing eyes.

As far as patch size goes, I have an extensive patch collection and the "standard" size is 4" wide and 5" in length for the shape of the patch that you have created.

There has been some question about the use of roarin the corn or rocking the hogs.

Essentially, by using a phrase like that, we would be establishing a chapter motto.

Given that info, are y'all happy with either of those phrases?

If not, let's here some suggestions?

I don't have the right software to finsh this I'm thinking some stars in red whight and blue on the bottom? the number of stars should be the number when Iowa became a state. I not sure what number Iowa is? or just have seabear move the cruis'en into the future to the sides like he had the other two?

I for one would like to stay away from the words, corn, hogs , beans, cows, etc. ( though I do kind of like the rocking the HOGS) but the HD people may not,

I do like the words cruisen, future, destiny, forever, dreams, reality,

or on a different note, crossroads, heartland, center, universe..freedom

or perhaps a kind of ripoff of our State motto,,,

Maintainers of Liberty,,,,

Cruisen to our destiny..

Crossroads of Reality,, (Freedom),,, (Liberty)

Heartland of Freedom....(Liberty),,, (Reality)

Freedom or Death...

Liberty or Death....

If we think of a few key words that works in a Motto/Logo then we can find something that works for all of us. JM.02

Oh ya I do like the design with the glowing eyes...and I do like the shape of the patch,,, and a note,,,I'll get and wear just about anything someone comes up with,,,,

I like that too. Our state flag has, "Our liberties we prize, our rights we will maintain"....so that kind of goes along with those sentiments. I also like the shape....and the eyes.

I do really like our motto that is on our flag,,, little long thats why I tried to shorten it,,,( Maintainers of Liberty)

Perhaps ,,," We will maintain our Liberties" (Freedoms)

Would that fit??

or "We will guard our Freedoms" (Liberties)

I like this one but how about either Heartland Cruisers or Cruis'n in the Heartland.

Would possibly interested in patch for back of vest also.

How about:

Thanks for sharing your opinion. We are all entitled to our opinions. If we don't share them we want know how others feel. I just tried to help with what was going on and what it seemed others where asking for. I dont really think its over kill. Its says a lot for the way most of us feel. Maybe there are still other ideas out there. If anyone has other ideas please bring them to our attention.

A place you might want to check out is jcpatch.com They had an ad in the AMA mag. Or you could check on the IL board as the WIVO's just got new patches and they look very nice.

I think VTX Xtreme has got it!

I like the way it looks and personally don't think it looks too cluttered. I like having the 'Rights and Liberties' phrases on it.

I use to have 10 of them, but sold them all, ( but mine) , If there is enough interest I can get hold of the guy that had them made, (Phil) and see if he can get more of them made,

If he can't then I may be able to get aq local guy make them,,,,

When we sold them I think it was like $5.80 mailed...

Should be heading out three weeks from today. We are going to dink around Glacier NP and the Canadian Rockies for a few days before heading "North To Alaska". We hope to be up to the Arctic Circle on the 21st of June. Then entering the States again somewhere around the 25th. I know a VTXer in Seattle so BBQ before we head down the Coast to see the Redwoods. Planning on heading back up through the interior of Oregon see Crater Lake, the Lava Beds and exit Oregon around Boise. I think Marlene may ride with us to the Coloradical...

Guess time will tell,,, and will have to see how beat we are once entering the States again.

I'm putting a 11" round Air Force patch on the back of my jacket and would like to add a couple other relevant patches also. This would be a good candidate.

FYI the bigger mask with the eyes and both patches (one Roaring The Corn; the other; Rocki'n The Hogs) would be what I vote for.

Lot of good ideas. I would prefer not to have references to corn, pigs or cattle. Most Iowans live in cities, not on farms. I like the shield and the layout of the lettering. Would recommend that "Iowa" and "VTXOA" definitely have top billing and large font.

I like the bigger mask, not crazy about the red eyes, not into corn unless it is real clever, and don't mind upsetting the Harley riders. The Iowa motto is fine with me as well.

Hopefully you all have noticed that in the patch everyone is talking about "ROCKIN" is spelled wrong. It says Rocokin which means, NOTHING. Not trying to spoil the mood but if everyone in Iowa rocked a incorrectly spelled patch that would be extremely lame...

Like patch idea, thinking ,maybe to much writing for small patch. One short Phrase ? Vest patch or Shoulder or Back of Jacket or Vest ? I will go with whatever, but Prefer a larger patch for Back of Vest or Coat. Still not a lot of writing. Thanks for your efforts.

I think that because the traffic and interest on this forum is extremely low you might want to look at Dawg's web site for an alternative patch or DLP for ideas.
