I used the camel bak for the first time, but I had fun with it all day. I bought the 100 oz and no napsak, it's called the "unbottle".

Froze the contents over night, but that was too extreme, as I ran out of water during the ride due to it melting too slowly. I would suggest not freezing it and filling it with ice then water.

I attached it to my risers, which left me enough hose to reach the bite valve, and I used one of those retractable clips to keep from having to pin it to something.

Overall, I am satisfied with how it worked out. It beat having to pick up a bottle and I could keep my eyes on the road. I would give camel baks an A+ for the long hauls to keep dehydration at bay. :D

Thanks for the input Ironmorph. I'm gettin one this year for sure, or at least getting one of those mil-spec surplus canteen caps with the suction hose and bite valve. You seen those? Fits a 2 Ltr soft canteen, which I've already got... hummm? :?:

They are great to ride with.
I rode across Texas (El Paso - Austin & back) in June to ROT with one on my back. I filled it 1/2 way w/ water the night before and froze it, then topped it off with water right before leaving. The bite tube was clipped to my t-shirt and I was able to stay hydrated. I topped it off when I bought gas with bottled water.
One of my best gadgets I own.
