Man this just isn't my week for riding. Drove the X to work knowing that there was a chance for storms and went out to check it at 11 to find all this dirty rain spotting over the entire bike. I asked maintenance if there was any chance of putting it in their shop but that didn't work out. Then coming home at 5 was nothing more than holding my breath between lights. Windshield didn't help that much. I keep hopin' that mother nature doesn't forget that this IS Kansas and the weather is supposed to change every 5 minutes, cause I am sick of this stuff. Sorry for rambling, just had to vent.

I decided not to ride to work at the last minute. It's 35 miles each way for me.. It was the right decision as my truck got hit by golf ball size hail instead of the bike!!!

Got to admit that I'm not much for riding bike to work anymore.
When I was younger and lived much farther from work then now, 35 miles vs. 7 miles...I was much more adventuresome. I'd always check the weather prior to leaving in the morning. If the weather forecast was 20 percent or lower for rain, I'd take off on the bike..(KZ1000J)...loved that bike, was a real screamer and was magnificent in the twisties. But, I don't know how many times I got 20 percented to death going home with no rain gear. We all know how much big rain drops hurt at highway speed. Since it only takes a few minutes to get home from work now, if I want to ride I'll jet home and grab the bike and take off.
Guess I hate the thought of it sitting out in the sun and rain and possibly having someone mess with it. Prefer it in the garage if my butt isn't on it.....
