Hey Guys and Gals, I just got back from the hospital. My father in law fell on his sidewalk today. He was almost to his back door and slipped on the wet sidewalk, hit his head. When he hit, it pushed his head and neck towards his shoulder. After they took the X-rays, they found that he has broken his neck in 2 places.
My father in law is 79 years old and is rather fragile. He is going to have to have surgery on his neck. Not sure when they are going to do this. He is at the hospital and his daughter is with him. She is going to keep us posted.
I will go to the hospital tomorrow. Keep him in your prayers, please.
Thanks,
Cheryl & Nick

Hi Guys,
Been a long day. Just got back from the hospital. My pop in law is out of I.C.U. They have him in a neck brace, and the 2 Dr's are not going to do surgery now. They are going to let him heal without surgery. He is in much better spirits this evening.
Thank you for all your prayers and concern.

Cheryl,
My wife had a similar issue. Broke her neck in an accident when we were dating. The ortho guys wanted to do surgery but the neuro surgeon put the kabash on it and did just what your guys are recommending. She healed just fine.... well..........you haven't met her but most people think that she's just fine.... Our best thoughts with you folks...

Thanks to all of you. The prayers are apprecitated. He is doing much better today. They are going to take him to rehab in the morning. Going to be a bit rough, but he is tough. Not sure how long he will be in rehab.
Termite, we missed getting to go on this ride. Hope you guys and gals did not freeze your rumps off! We got to take a little ride today. Felt good to get some wind in my face.
Have a great evening!
