I just got my RAM mounting system for my GPSr. I must say the unit is very good quaility. I can't wait to get it on the bike. BTW I bought it from CycleGadgets.com

RAM mounts are a way of mounting hand-held sized gadgets
like radar detectors and Personal Digital Assistants and
GPS mavigators and other stuff to your handlebars on a motorcycle,

or in a boat cockpit or an airplane cockpit or on your car and truck.

Cycle Gadgets specializes in motorcycle stuff,
there are other dealers for mounts for other vehicles.

For motorcycles, they have a ball hitch that mounts on the handlebars.
I got the black, but they are also available in chrome.

Then there is a double sided clamp to raise the device up to where you
can see it, and then the mount for the device.
They have different lengths for the clamp, I chose the long length.

Yeah, what Coyote said. He is the one that told me about this set up and he was right. This is a quaility set for your must have gadgets on the X.

Mine just shaowed up from cycle gadgets about an hour ago. Like you said great quality can't wait to use it on my trip to FLA next week. :D
