I got a very nice pavillion with 2 big grills reserved for us. Plenty of parking about 20 feet away. Volleyball court also right nearby, if anyone wants to stuff a ball in their saddlebag.

I am going to be there from sometime in the morning. We have the pavillion all day from 8:30 'til 7. But 1st one that comes has to bring me a cup of coffee, light 'n 2 sugars please. :D

First burgers and dogs should be hot off the grill by 12:30.

Does anyone have any ideal how long Tree Top Park would be from Homestead Fl. ? I'm way down south right before you get on the stretch to the Fla. Keys. Just want to arrive at a good time up there.

I would say from south Dade, it should take you about 1 hour and 10 minutes, depending which way you come. The turnpike to 75 north to Griffin Road east to 100th Avenue north(left), park is about 1/2 mile on your right.

picture a 'ride through' bike wash with no suds and lasts for what seemed like hours, but was probably only 15 minutes...

Ditto Kbobb....lost all track of time when I started wishing for a snorkle! :?

Time was no longer passing....just mile markers - very :cry: very slowly :cry: ! Pelting sidways rain & high winds from mm 92.4 to 70.2, lighter rain and road wash from there to the Seminole fuel stop. Had to 'pour' out my boots! :shock: (remember kiddies - waterproof not only repells, it holds in really well too!)

But you know what....much like today, the rain just made for better stories and great times.....sorry to see anyone missed the gathering!

I've been out of computer due to a nasty (computer) virus which kept me out for several weeks, unitl maybe last week.. Of course missed the picnic news and at work I should not be f ____g around on the net.

However, please count me in on future similar events and I will keep my eyes peeled and my computer on for future events!

I can help with some of the grilling, if the need may be.
