Hi guys, anyone sitting on any of the above you might want to get rid of. I want to have a go at custom airbrushing a matched set for the X. I thought rather than do mine I'd have a go at a spare set.

Hi Mate, I have a set of side covers from an 06 1800c. they are black, in good condition.
Let me know if you are interested.
Craig
Sounds good, what do you want for them?
PM me your address and you can have them, you just cover cost of postage.
Craig
Thanks Craig, the sidecovers arrived safely. Just got to source the fenders and tank, I will try a few of the wreckers around town and see what comes up.
I'm only just starting out but here's a few of the things I have been doing.
Once again thanks
Dirk
and a few more
Looking good mate. You've really got some talent mate. I have troubles drawing stick figures. nojoke
Thanks Simon, I've got a long way to go before I'll be anywhere near as good as some of the guys out there, but I think I'm ready to have a go at some tins.
Like most things it's all about knowing the tricks and for that I did a short course.
It all started because I wanted to get the headlight painted to match the pattern on the X and either no one would take it on or I had to take out an 2nd mortgage, so I thought stuff it I'll do it myself.
The course cost less than the cost of painting and cutting stickers for the light.
been a while since we met up Bunji ,hope all going well mate
I'm good thanks Sheepie. Kids sports seems to take most of my time over winter so I haven't been getting out as much as I'd like.
Yeah been awhile, now living at Greenbank, moved from Springfield a few months ago, hopefully a lot more weekend riding.Doing a lot more Ks to work now(26ks one way) against 7ks i used to do.
Yeah, must be a hassle hey:smile: Although depending on where you work that road can be a real pain in peak hour.
Often thought I would like to move out around Canungra way, but I don't know where I would ride to:joke:
Mate, you could give Little Mick a run for his money with air work like that...nojoke
Thanks Hanno. I wish, he's probably forgotten more than I'll ever know.
I do hope you realise I will need those side covers back after you have painted them?.........Cant have your great work in danger.........so I am prepared to protect them by attaching them to the side of my bike.......no thanks necessary.
Craig
PS I can do the same with a tank!
Side covers, what side covers:dontknow: Actually I'm having trouble finding a tank and front guard - nothing around any of the Brisbane wreckers at the moment.
Yeah, we either have very safe bikes, or we're all excellent riders :-? doesn't matter as long as we keep on keepin on.
Sunny side up eh
Have you had any progress on your painting?
Haa... was reading this thread and thinking, wow there's some members posting in this thread that haven't posted for quite a while. Then i checked the dates .
Must admit, i don't post much any more either but i still check in regularly.
Hi Ausvtx
still having problems finding parts locally, and it has been difficult getting people in the US to post 2nd hand bits to OZ, have moved onto a couple of other projects in the mean time. I'm still very keen to paint up a set. Did get a bit silly and painted up a VTX radiator grill. I will post a pic later when I get it off the phone.
Dirk
