Congrats on your new ride. I think you will enjoy the 1800. I like my 1300R but I really like my 1800T. Let us know what you think after you get some more miles in the seat.
WOW!........what an ordeal. Glad you finally made it to dry land. Bet you'll reconsider your storage location next Winter.
Get your spanner wrench out of the tool kit and start playing with your shock settings. There are 5 settings. Number 1 will be the softest setting. Make sure that both shocks are set the same.
Friend has Ness Jackpot (white with purple/red flames). His also has a raked front. I ride it routinely and it is fun. You have to get used to "horsing it" through turns with that fat rear tire...
Olive Drab is not a color of choice for me........but the workmanship is good!
The VT750 has a seat height of 25.9 inches. I believe the 1300C's is 27.5. That can be a considerable difference for someone who is 5'2". If she can't "flat foot" it at a stop, the X can be an...
Bought my 1800 new in 2009. Couldn't get more than $4000 out of my 2005 1300 so I decided to keep the 1300. Glad I kept the 1300...glad I have 2 X's. I spread my riding time equally between the 2...
I've got a 2007T California model. Runs great. Don't worry about the emissions hardware.
I've got two X's that I split on riding time. I do believe that they will be running long after I'm not. Anyway, like others have said, there will still be low mile X's available on the market for...
You might want to go to one of the scooter forums. Folks there should have some good information.
I just run an old floor fan when the temps are changing. The air circulation seems to keep condensation from forming on the bikes.
My 1300 is enough for the highway. My 1800 is more than enough.
:popcorn:Here we go again!
I have been using the Kurys you show for about 7 years on my 1300. They work fine. As others have stated, consider getting a 2-3 inch offset extension to get your legs away from the side of the bike...
The more I look at the F6B the more I don't like it. I was reading my current issue of Rider magazine the other day and there was a picture of the F6B in it. I showed it to my wife without telling...
I agree with Deadwood. Neat town with lots of bars, casinos, and restaurants. Also close to Spearfish Canyon which is a good ride.
All the discussion about front and rear "crash" bars is interesting. Why not just fabricate a roll cage, bike would then look like a two wheeled car.....LOL.
Be aware that the 1800's have a linked brake system that activates pistons on the front calipers when you use the foot brake. for the rear. It seems to me that a hybrid system could get "messy". I...
I think others have nailed it for you. Lowers work great and so do ear plugs. Both are much less expensve than a new hemet. I wear a HJC modular and, although I never found it to be particularly...
I have been using Seafoam for about 10 years. Use it in all my gas powered equipment and "Toys". A trusted mechanic friend originally recommended it to me. I have found it to be a very useful...
If you have some charge but not enough to turn the starter, you can put in second gear, turn on ignition, pull clutch, get it rolling and then pop the clutch.
:agree: On most fabric jackets you can remove the armor and machine wash them. That's what I would do.
You asked.........I don't like it.
