Torn the engine down replacing gaskets and re-taping(added Heli-coils)cyl studs.
Two were finger tight !!!.

Now putting the cams back on.
Matched the cam sprocket index lines put the chain back...

Might as well drill and tap all four on the rear cyl.

Have the whole pump assembly soaking in gas.
Spent two hours cleaning with a tooth brush and carberator cleaner.

Part 18 pulled out of the lower case.

When I put the studs back they both have a little drag,but will not tighten.

Removed both cyl heads to replace gaskets.
Noticed that two nuts(10mm) were finger tight.

Replacing gaskets tried to torque cyl head.
When torquing the two nuts that were loose,the studs would...

Bought a very light dog type chain.
Couldn't quite get the anchor chain in the fule pump opening:grin::grin::grin:.

Will try to find an auto type of filter for one tank...

I too was reluctant to"coat"the interior with some tank sealant.

The X has been setting for 2-3 years with a blown head gasket.
