Any update yet? I looked in the Frederick News Post, and didn't see it mentioned.
Double check the hardware on the hinges, and make sure the nuts are tightened. One rider lost a lid on the highway, and found that the nuts had worked loose.
Your Dad and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
I would probably get another Aero750, like the one had before my 1300R. Same looks, but only a bit smaller. Fun in the twisties, and better gas mileage.
If you swap the front brackets with each other, do they then appear bent the other direction?
dropped mine, but was lucky. that's when I decided to get one on these:
I tried the LED 1157s you can find at PepBoys, Autozone, etc, and didn't think that they were very bright. I finally ended up getting the radiantz 128led tail light board, and it is crazy bright.
It looks very much like the LED board from Clear Alternatives. I had the standard brake light version, and didn't think it was very bright.
were there even brake lights?
have you tried looking on Amazon? Just saw the 1156a and 1157a for $5 pair. Walmart may have them in stock.
Your bags look really sharp! The bags for my R arrived a couple of weeks ago, and I am loving them :)
Real pics on a "C":
Here is a link to the service manual
I forget where, but there is a section on adjusting the idle and AF.
It's to die for... :yikes:
I have the Mustang Vintage Wide Tourer with driver backrest, and love it. I paid about $500 for the driver & pillon & backrest. Added another $100 for the sissybar pad. Worth every dollar for me...
They are expensive. When I was looking for a replacement gas tank, I checked out several OEM suppliers and found the difference in price to be surprising. Best advice I can give is to spend a bit...
They now have a C specific bag. See:
I ordered my VTX specific bags with color match on April 3, 2013. They were shipped from HK on June 20, 2013, arrived in Chicago on June 24, 2013, cleared Customs in Memphis, TN on June 25, 2013,...
I have these mirrors on my bike:
2008 1300R GYTT 205-70/15 40psi 6,000 mi so far & no signs of wear.
The Honda Shadow Aero 750 is a good choice. Low to the ground, reasonable power, and won't be overwhelming for a new rider.
