You're right that it needs to vent. That is why I was thinking an oversized cap with some nylon scrubby and a pin to hold it together. I am probably not describing this very well, but it is very...
All right, lots of great Ideas here.
Thanks all for chiming in!
I needed this kick in the pants. I'm thinking a piece of tubing with a nylon scrubby "filter" and the one of those silicon...
I was doing my walk around this morning, and noticed my vent cap is missing. It's only a $6 part, but shipping is crazy to here. Anyone had any luck using something else? I don't need the chrome as...
Wow, must have been a blast. Thanks for the pics!
Nice to know there are still decent people out there, and good on you for accepting. I might not have been so brave.
Man, harsh. Glad you're okay.
They are debating letting 18 year olds have a CDL and then loose them on the road with 50k lbs. (or more) of truck and trailer. Makes me scaid.
Sweet, and great job on the fender!
I think the fitment guide is off. I believe all the R's (1300's and 1800's) have the same spacing. The one's I found didn't include that last line.
The difference is the bolt spacing, where it fits onto the bike. A "C" one could be made to fit with the drilling of one more hole, but if the hole ends up in a space, you're may need some large...
Wild bikers . com has a very reasonable system if you don't need the chrome shocks. I believe he is a member here. I also heard some guys using vette air shocks, but that has been a while.
Congrats on a new ride. Please do swing by once in a while. and, Aloha (hello, goodbye, etc) & Mahalo nui loa (thanks very much) to you from the Big Island.
I have the Kury Widow mini boards on my C. I really like the feel. The angle is adjustable so you can set them up to your preference, unlike boards which remain flat. I don't ride for days on end...
Whoa, buddy. That sounds horrendous. Glad you're still with us. Heal well!!
Congrats on your new mod.
I love me some 6" risers. One of the first mods I did to the X. Main thing is we are comfy riding, but I also like the looks of the bars in the air.
Question, what is an Eskimo doing in Oklahoma?
Congrats on the new ride. Main thing you are happy!
Please, check in on us. All are welcome.
Good looking Bikes, and a good looking truck. You'll love this forum. It's the only place I need!
I am not sure of the brand, but those aren't "R/S" bars. Mine bolted to the foot board brackets. Looks like those are mounting to the "C" style peg mounts. I will get a pic when I get home. Also, my...
Wow, that looks like a great day.
You have pretty much found the con side. These are solid machines, built to last.
As far as the one you are looking at, it's gorgeous. If you thinks it's worth it, it is. With proper maintenance...
*ya didn't scrape the seat, and
*the key didn't beak off in the ignition.
But, condolences to your beautiful paint.
Main thing you didn't lose any fluids on that baby....
I also recently switched and noticed my right side gets hot. Enough to melt my pants. Didn't have that problem with my 1300.
It's not hot under my seat, as in radiating thru to my buttocks. Course,...
Best of both worlds.
I saw some on the classified. May or may not be available.
