I tried the Nylon bushings and they were crap, they were a bit of a pain to install, transmitted more vibration to the bike, and were a nightmare to remove. I recommend getting the 1800 bushings...

Agree with Spike, I use Mobil 1 just because I can pick it up locally at any auto parts store
Just because the oil turns black doesn't mean it's no longer protecting the engine. Do yourself a favor and send a sample of your oil to blackstone labs for proof.

The valve are ridiculously easy to check on this bike and typically you will only need to adjust the exhaust valves although I have adjusted quite a few intake valves over the years on other members...
