Have you attempted the steering head bearing replacement. That will hone your wrenching skills!
What's an x-box?
DITTO! Spend the money and go for the Metzler Marathons. Longer life, better handling!
I have drilled out Harley Taper mufflers on my X.
My BAK setup is as follows:
220 main Jet
58 Pilot Jet
2 turns on the A/F
I installed it 2 seasons and 24,000 miles ago. Plugs are toasty...
Same here. I bought the 'on-sale' version a few weeks ago. I am fairly handy with a wrench (and a dremel grinder in this case), so I did NOT get the rivet popper. The popper would DEFINITELY make...
If you love crowds, hang out on the south rim. If you want a peaceful ride in some beautiful country, rent a cabin on the North Rim!
It is a 2 hour drive from South rim to North Rim, but what a...
:dontknow:
I've ridden it multiple times each year for the past 5 years.
There is no real difference in north or south approaches. To be safe:
Don't ride it on Saturday or Sunday unless you do it before...
19F at my house this morning.
A friend of mine in Stamford CT had 25 inches of snow at his place yesterday.
So southerners - it could be worse.
You can make the lightbar operate on both low and high by clipping the light blue wire. I made this mod so my lightbar operates on both high and low.
I did a search and cannot find the thread and...
I had 2 sets of the 412 11.5's I had a shock from each of the sets blow a seal after less than 10,000 miles.
They are only covered by a 12 month warranty, so I was SOL.
You will burn out the on/off switch. That happened to me and others on the board. The lights are brighter, no issue on the charging system, plenty of charge when above idle. What I did was just...
Just don't ask us why teflon sticks to the pan or what to call a male lady bug.
Those are hard questions
Got me on that one. Made me laugh out loud.:D
45,000 on 87 here. No pings, knocks wheezes or farts.
I HATE gasahol, I LOVE 100% gasoline!
I lose about 12-15 miles per tank on gasahol!
Ok I lied about the farts but that's my gas...
A LITTLE OIL, Or if you have a BAK the oil drips off the bottom and then gets blown all over your leg and the side of the bike. Not that I would know from first hand experience or anything, just...
I have a weird bubbling spot on the left side final drive cover. I figure it is where gasoline occasionally drips on the rare overfill of the tank.
I did the drill mod as well and I replaced the clutch and springs. This was all done @ 34,000 miles. The groaning started to get progressively worse.
That was 10,000 miles ago and no issues...
EXCELLENT NEWS!:congrats:
You're screwed. Throw that bike away and buy a new one.:yikes:
Ok, that made me laugh. If it were me, I'd find a small magnet, string and fish until I got it.
:agree:
A little goes a LONG LONG way. Otherwise you have oil dripping out the bottom and making a big mess! And yes, I have first hand experience.
I put 11,800 on the first season and 12,500 the second. I just turned 46,000 on my X. I bought a kawasaki versys last year and put 8000 on it last year and 9000 on it so far this year. SO the two...
I just threw up in my mouth:shock:
I Use the E3 Diamond Fire - No complaints!
