    Best time of 12.016 @108mph.
200 Metzler. Muzzy 2 into 1. PC3. No air filter or cover. Nonworking shift light. 175lb. rider (me).
WILL get in to the 11.9s this year easy, with minor mods.

I heard that it is in the low 12's for a stock bike, but the high 9's with synthetic oil in it.

    Default low 9's?

I need some of that oil. Best run on drag dyno. 120 mph in 10.7 . Thats starpped down so you can hammer the start. Stock with vance and hines and hypercharger.

I was just kidding. Obviously the only VTX that could run a 9 second 1/4 without major modifications is my RED VTX1300S.

If you add 4 1/2 Little Debbie fudge rounds to your synthetic oil and 2 1/2 to your 93 octane gasoline mix it will give you and additional 347.5 HP and put you in the low 8's.

Just don't buy your fudge rounds on the 19th.

Ya know some mods just do not work well together. I was also running in the low 5's because of tank trim. I added Coyote's rear master cyl. and now it would not break 75.5. I took off the tank trim and now I run in the high 4's. I called the tank trim manufacturer and he said tank trim is not compatable with any Coyote product and offered me my money back.

    Default Honest times here....

Got this e-mail from David @ Designed Performance........the same guy that's helping Hermit with his mods.....I made it to the track this weekend. The best pass in the
    quarter Fri night was 10.05 @ 130mph. It didn't run a 9 but I
now believe it can. Saturday I went to another track that was
having bracket races. By playing with shift points I was able
to pick up that five hundredeths

This bike was found to have about 20% compression "leakage" during operation and will have the valve seats replaced. Probably gonna run 9.70's before July and it's a PRIVATE owner. No corporate sponsorship....YET!

Truth...Anvil's listed times are bout as good as a stock x with minor mods is gonna do. He is close. So....go with that. That is about the best your unmoded X will do in a real drag. All bs aside.

so cycle world said a bone stocke vtx 1800 went 12.2 . do you think most bone stockers with a good rider can really turn 12.2 ? or is this an exceptional time because of a professional drivers.

Yeah, but Lee you forgot to tell them they have to have the LRExtreme forwards to get those diesel plugs to work that good.

    Default diesel plugs

    Lee,
If you had used a left hander cresent wrench to install those diesel plugs, it would have given you another 1/2 second.
