    It's a personal preference.
Check out Corbin Beetle bag but it's a bit pricey

These are Tsukayu Strong hardbags, so far so good. I have only had them a month. phpyWZH5TPM.jpg

I have the Mutazu RS bags. Look really good and quite roomy. You can buy them on line for a little over $300. The down side is they are a bit flimsy and the mounting brackets included are a bit crude, this is my first summer for them and so far so good. Maybe next year I might consider the Easy Brackets, which are quick release. Rick

I have the Tsukayu also. Pricey for sure. Those other bags in this thread look just fine. I don't think I'm going to spend nearly $1000 on a set of "custom" bags again.

2005 VTX 1300S, Silver - THE fastest color, Tsukayu saddle bags, Big Air mod with Cobra pipes, Big Boy seats w/backrest, Kuryakin Air Horns, Reckless Fairing, Accutronix Forward Controls, H.I.D. kit, and a nifty electronic device from Kisan Tech called the Signal Minder (auto cancels turn signal & more).

I cant believe nobody has mentioned the QQ bags. They are hands down the best looking bag ever strapped to the back end of a VTX. Look for them on Meancycles web site.

Man, those bags look good and HUGE (love the blue VTX color). I think for looks alone, it's between these, the Beetle bags and QQ. If price figures in, the order is up in the air......

+1 on Tsukayu bags for the 1300. I have them on mine just the faster color red...lol

The quick release is nice but really haven't had to take them off.

This thread may have been resurected from 2007, but it is a non stop subject since those of us that had our Xs back then may be looking for upgrades/replacements, and a lot of new X owners looking to make the bikes their own. I am looking for an upgrade....my hondaline bags are wore out......8 years and it is time for something different......by the way I don't recommend the hondaline bags. They worked, but don't lock, and the leather/stitching staqrted showing wear after 2 seasons. Bags are still solid though I'll give them that.

05 1800F2, 18L bags, memphis fats shield, ultimate mid rider seat, Hondaline Deluxe Sissy bar, luggage rack, ISO grips, Kury Cruise peg mounts with offsets, Kury passenger boards, and CHROME.
    (yah I know an F shouldn't have bags......necessity till I get my 2nd bike)
