Not sure of the year but reverse came in with the intro of the 1500 didn't it?

You can lead a fool to wisdom, but you can't make him think.
1988 was the first year for reverse and the 1500. Later when Honda introduced the Aspencade model, they did an Interstate model, which was cheaper and didn't have a lot of the luxuries that the Aspencade and SE models had, and no reverse.
