I'm sure this has been beaten to a bloody pulp. Therefore, I reckon another kick won't matter none.
I would like to see pictures of guys with fairings and hard bags. Leathered or painted doesn't matter. I would like those of you who post pictures to also notate who makes the bags and fairings.
I am thinking either Corbin Beetle Bags or Tsakuyu Leathered Hardbags. For fairing I havn't a clue. I think someone around here has a leather covered fairing, I hope to see pics of that.
Ultimately I want to turn the VTX into the V-Twin tourer that, well, Honda lacks. And of utmost importance is comfort for me dearest wifey.
Ok so after being slapped upside the head by the Corbin fairing prices, I'm really, really, really looking forward to some of the C.R.A.P members to chime in.
I have the corbin Beetle bags w/ the hondaline windshield. I really like the looks of the beetle bags but they do pose problems. 1) seat selection if you want /or need a sissy bar cause you can't have both unless you go for the corbin dual tour or rumble seat. The rumble seat is not a comfortable as the mustangs I have now but it will have a backerst for her when she rides. I am going with the ruble seat as my wife doesn't ride as much as I would like for her to. 2) pasenger foot pegs. The beetle bags are so close to the pasenger foot pegs that it is very difficult for the pasenger to use. This problem I think can be corrected I believe with offset foot peg adapters. I am trying to get the correct combination of adapters to fit my bike. Hope this helps you make the right choice for your bike!

I am looking at getting a trunk as well. With the trunk being a wrap-around back-rest for my wife. I will even need arm rests for that trunk. Do you know of any that work with the Beetle Bags or am I S.O.L?

HD newer model Electraglide fairing from E-bay. Created own mounting hardware but also used Memphis Shades brackets. Outer fairing for now, but have inner fairing for winter project. Leatherlyke saddlebags and Trunk. C.R.A.P. # 31

Did the parts on EBay thing too, had to manufacture all my own brackets from aluminum and polish them. Worked awesome, crashed right after I got it all done now it is back to soft bags and windshield but will put it back together again soon. It has spokes now too.
You will find that if you changed your pipes (from stock ) the corbin bags will not look too good. They are cut high to make rom for stock pipes on one side..thus cutting down on space .
as for the fairing I cannot help you with that one...I do like some of the ones members have been showing you though.
They don't have the extension dimensions anymore, and looks like the price went up since I bookmarked it, but here's a passenger footpeg extension link. Was going to get it for GF comfort, but we broke up so now I'm going back to straight ME comfort

Quality on my corbin bags was really horrible. They leak, the paint / gel coat cracks and bubbled - corbin couldn't care less. I would really pass on these bags.
Champion makes some pretty nice bags if you want to spend that kind of money. http://www.championsidecars.com/hardbags/
The leather cover Tysakayus (sp?) look pretty nice in the previous photo too. 8)
Hoppe makes a bolt on fairing with radio....but $$$$. Will fit the 1300 but you will have to call them. http://www.hoppeindustries.com/indian.html
