Hi guys (and gals). I'm brand new to the forum. Just rode home on a 2005 VTX 1800S. Bike only have 4900 miles on it. It was purchased new in 07 and never ridden in the rain. Looks like new. Some of the extras include an Ultimate BigBoy seat with passenger backrest; Kuryakyn Ergo Engine Guards (which I have in the "for sale" section); V&H Big Shot pipes (which may also be up for sale soon); Factory windscreen; Honda music bar; Iso-grips; studded tank bib; lots of extra chrome; and soft saddlebags.

I've been riding for 40 years, mostly on cruiser bikes in recent years; although the last year and a half, I've been riding a 2004 Honda ST1300 (which is also up for sale). My impression of the VTX on the 80 ride home (in 35F weather) was: WOW, what a ride. Power AND COMFORT.

Anyway, glad to be here and plan to be here for many years. This bike may be the one I put 100K on. Any advice or info on the VTX will be appreciated. I'm waiting for the weather to warm up so I can get some riding in.

HERE ARE THE PICS!!

I'd keep the vance/hines pipes. I had the VTX exhaust.com and ended up with the bigshots due to their better flow and sound. For the paltry sum you'll get for used pipes, keep them and never look back. Cobra fatty excellent crash bar. Congrats on new X. Phil

SWEET selection and nice upgrades already!

Here's the "N" I picked up just two weeks ago....

If I had known about the N when I got mine this is the way I would have went!

I like the look of your ride. I have just picked up an 08 VTX T. I like the seat you have on yours where did you get it from?
If you're talking about my bike... then it's an Ultimate Lowrider seat. They are pricey at $565 but very comfortable. The driver's seat is already set up for a backrest so you could add one if you want.

Here's a top view.
