I finally got in the first ride, a whopping 10 miles. But hey, it was a start. We need a "gully washing" rain for the roads to get cleaned up and yea, the potholes are brutal.

I'm a little crazy on early riding. Took a 50 mile ride in 29 degree weather a few weeks ago. Took a 60 mile ride last Wed, and made a 138 mile ride this past Sunday. Heated gear really helps. It is just nice to get on the bike. Warmer weather is coming and it will be great. When I have been riding, I have been looking at some flooding around Huron. Hope to get to the NE part of SD, my old stomping grounds, and see how all the water is doing up there. Ride On!

Good luck Dan, hope all is well. We raised 4 kids, love them all dearly and wouldn't trade any of it for all the motorcycles in the world. When they were young, I was too busy making a living and spending time with them and my lovely wife. There was a 3 year stretch where I only rode the bike twice in 1 of those years and I eventually sold it. Depends on your schedule, I hope you can keep riding, but it gets down to what you really want. There is no right or wrong. But for me its much easier to find time to ride now, and I even ride with my youngest son, who also rides. My wife doesn't ride as much but she is able to since we are are now empty nesters. Let us know how things go with the new little one.
