Hi everyone. I am a recent new owner of an '06 1300C and I am in love with this bike. I got it at the beginning of the season and have put 4000 miles on her without a hitch. It is a big step up from my '82 650 Nighthawk.
I've been looking through the posts on sissy bars and floor boards and some of the pics I've seen of all of your bikes are awesome. Mine is still pretty much stock, just has a National Cycle windshield and a set of throw over fabric bags and the stock Honda orange. Sissy bar is next mod so my wife can finally go for some short hop rides with me. Found a Hondaline setup for only $100 from a friend. The thread with part numbers for the collars and frame bolts was so helpful. Now I can order the parts and hopefully by next weekend that will be done. Maybe over the winter I will attempt a full R swap for pedals, boards and mounts. First I will have to find them at a price my wallet and wife agree with. When I figure out how to do it, I will post pics of my baby (the bike) to share.
I do actually have one question about handling. I have noticed recently that when riding on breezy days, if I catch the wind right, it feels like the back tire is going flat. I have even gone to the point of stopping and checking the pressure as well as some "waggling" around in my lane afterwards. I have not, as yet, seen the pressure down. Most of my riding is in very open places and over the crests of some pretty high, but gently rolling hills. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Thanks.
