    Default Touchup Paint part number

I trying to find the Honda part number for the one oz touchup bottles/pens whatever. Tried a search here and found some that have ordered them through their dealer. Not interested in the Color Rite. I was at HDL today and they were unable to find the part number to order. I also did a Google search and came up with this but not sure if it is the Honda part number or not:
    08P50 R325M Candy Caliente Red

    It's a 2009 VTX1300C. Paint code R-325M

    Anybody know?

    Thanks all,

I had a rock nick my front fender a couple years ago. Called the dealer, paid them for the paint with a CC, and about a week later it was in my mailbox. A touch up bottle like you get with a car, was like 10 bucks.

    Original paint not Color Rite.

The color label should be located on the frame, behind the left side cove Good luck, I did the color-rite with my code and it matched perfect.

Every time I ask the parts dept for paint, they pull out a book and the numbers are in there, not in the parts fiche, if you can't find the answer by tomorrow, PM me and I will have them look it up for me Monday morning.

just take your paint code to an auto paint store and they can mix up what you want.

I bet if you just call the dealer with your credit card, he could just mail you some. hear it's about 10 bucks.

I didn't respond because as I said in my original post, There is no sense calling since I was at the dealers yesterday- HDL-Shadyside, Oh who is also a regular Honda dealer.
They could not find the part number just as other members have mentioned in other threads about their dealers.

    Thanks all,

    Thanks all,
Hmmmmm....good luck in that case. Sorry..... am just a little at a loss for an answer why one dealer pulls it up in a matter of seconds and another could not find the same information.

EDIT: Just a thought. Maybe give a call to my dealer and see if they might be able to help. Here is a link to their website where you will find the toll free phone number if interested.

I think it is because it the information is not in "THE COMPUTER" , some people are lost. Honda has a parts supplement book, that lists the paint in 3 ways, by code, by name, and by yr/model of the bike. If a dumbie like me can find it in 2 min, a parts person should be able to.
