    Default Prettiest Place in Arkansas

We all love to get out and ride in our beautiful state. We're lucky to live here. We're all planning our spring rides right now and I thought it would be good to hear other people comment on where the prettiest place in Arkansas is. I'm having a hard time deciding between the road between Lurton and Mt Judea and Boxley Valley.

Let's hear it guys and gals

You pick all of the best sites.... Hwy 7 and off from HSV to these sites are great.
Roads up around mt. home are great.

Lord, I don't know which way to go. Somebody put a ride together and let's go. Sat. out Sunday in. Let's go. Meet at Hwy 10 and 7 or somewhere and go for the weekend.
    Weather is getting right.

    Just do it.

Definitely Lurton to Mt. Judea and the area around Jasper. I also like Push Mountain, it's a pretty good ride.

The Pig Tail was nice but then Mt Magazine had a great veiw. Mt Nebo was a sweet ride and we couldn't pass up Petejean Mtn. So many great rides to choose from.
This toy seems to have it all. The VTX and the ace are gone and yes I miss them.

The most challenging stretch of paved road I have found anywhere is the 3 miles going up Mt. Nebo. It sure is beautiful on top. It is well worth the ride. I grew up in Dardanelle so I've been there many, many times. I never get tired of it.

Did a recent ride up hwy 7 from Russellville up to Pelsor, took a break from the bike and hiked the Pedestal Rocks trail, then went up around Jasper, then Harrison, then back to Heber on 65. With the exception of the wasp/bee sting in the center of my back while riding thru Jasper, it was awesome, and hwy 7 would be my favorite hwy to ride....

We are truly blessed with the beauty in our state.

You can find video of it on youtube. It has 33 hairpin turns and climbs 1400 feet in 2.8 miles. There are a couple of straight stretches and a quarter mile is flat, so the rest of it is pretty intense. If you take the better half with you, drop her off at the Wal Mart in Dardanelle for a half hour and enjoy. Don't try it doubled up the first time.

    The Talimena Trail.

From Mena into Oklahoma is very pretty.

I agree, Don't ride 2up going up Mt Nebo the first time, and if you're in a group make sure you are spaced far apart.

I've ridden Talimena a couple of times. It's really nice. I good ride when the weather warms up. It's always cooler up on the ridge. Nice views every mile.

If you've never ridden it, give it a shot. You will not be sorry.

The Pig Trail is always good. Mt Nebo is intense for sure. I like going up from Clinton through Shirley, up through Mountain View and stay the night in Calico Rock. Really nice ride.

Just got my first 2 cylinder and it a VTX 1800 R2. I LOVE IT !!! Can't wait to get some rides under by belt on this thing.

That is a very nice ride. Don't forget Push Mountain Road when you're up in that part of the world. North Central Arkansas has a lot to offer. I try to make a ride up there several times a year. Calico Rock is a really neat place.

    Default Blanchards Spring

The roads around it are nice and crooked, but I am talking about the spring itself. I have always thought this was the prettiest place in the state.
    It is about the ride!!!

I did some riding in Ark last month and thought the copperhead run was pretty nice. The view at the overlook on 7 between Jasper & Pelsor was absolutely beautiful.

You guys that live there have got one of the best states to ride in. My wife and I just gor back from riding the Tailimena from Mena to OK. Stayed at the Willimena Lodge---great time--would highly recommend. Have ridden Mt. Judea, Boxley, Pig Trail. I'm still coming down as much as I can to ride those roads. They are Great!!! I need to get closer to Mountain Home some time. If I keep this up, I'm moving down there.
