Weather's getting warmer and I can feel the itch to ride again (need another good rain storm to wash the last of the salt off the roads- looks like it will be here Fri-Sat), especially because I will have my bike for the whole season this year! With gas prices headed nowhere but north, I think I'm going to be riding to work as much as the weather allows. Post up your starting mileage for this season!

Well I did get in my official first ride on New Years Day but it was only 60 miles or so. With that in mind, I am hitting the bricks this year with the odometer sitting at 56137.

Hoping to get back to a normal riding year and maybe break 10,000. Time will tell.

Started out @ 39665 on the ODO, after todays short ride I now have 40630, not bad for the end of March, 965mi for the year so far. This may be a banner year for me, I can't remember being able to ride in January, February, and March to start out the year, I know I can ride up into November, but depending on what December brings us, I just might be able to ride at least once or twice every month of the year.

Started this season with 10,500. That 10.5k was my first season with the VTX.

'Nother Bump, ODO @ 49105. Started @ 39665 that's 9440 so far, gonna try to get in 10k before my season gets cut short. Looking at some surgery at months end & that'll probably be it for me until next year.

    Thundrhd,

I hope all goes well with your surgery ... wish you a speedy and complete recovery for sure!

I'm probably around the same miles for the year.

I only need 20mi to get to 10k for the year, got today & tomorrow for long rides, and a few days next week to ride to work, then I'm done for the season
Well, after a nice 110mi ride was able to hit that 10k mark.

Average over 1000 per month in touring miles. Started with less than ten miles 42 months later 44,973 miles. I hope to hit 50,000 in six to eight more months.

As luck would have it, I'm not done yet, got a couple more days to rack up some miles, healed up from surgery about 3weeks ahead of schedule & been riding all week!! Will be sure to post up on New Year's day final tally on the odo.

Didn't get a chance to put any miles on, so I'm ending the season with 50001, for a total of 10,306. Will start a new thread @ 50001 for 2012.

I finally got around to updating mileage info on my maintenance records. VTX odometer ended 2011 with 49944 for 1,009 miles. Wing odometer ended 2011 with 33904 for 10,136 miles. So My mileage total for 2011 was 11,145 miles. The bulk of my miles came in the fall with a 10 day 6,000 mile road trip. 2011 was a pretty good year as I picked up 14 states ridden. I'm looking forward to 2012.

I ended 2011 with 36,315 mi. on the VTX odometer for only 702 miles. Sold it in the spring.

The Wing ended 2011 with 39,701 on the odometer for 17,437 for the year.

Most of mine came from a trip to the Northwest and part of Canada, along with a ride to Quantico, VA and then south into the Carolinas, Georgia and Alabama.

Great job Jim! This is the second year in a row where you took top miles. It was great sharing the ride with you across the Northwest.

Dave, I always enjoy our rides around the countryside. No question you find the best roads and destinations. Next time we head west, I won't turn right and go to Canada, that sucked.
