Boy, The point about the GPS and looking for alternative routes when the interstate is shut down is priceless. Never even occurred to me!
Good point!!!
I mist that thread last year some time guys you just make mi day![]()
Out of curiosity; Why can't (or won't) motorcycles manufacturers produce accurate speedos?![]()
No use complaining - You tell 10 people ... 8 don't care and the other 2 think you're getting exactly what you deserve!"
When I got the new TomTom a year ago with live alert built in,
I was about 800 from final leaving a hotel, when the GPS starting going nuts with multiple re-routes.
I thought it had crashed.
I kept denying the out of the way route, and sure enough, it started in again.
Frustrated, I called a friend to look up where I was.
Sure enough, the GPS was in fact steering me out of closed roads due to recent flooding the day before.
A random pick would of led to the next closed road.
I would of lost a day or more dinking around trying to find my way out of that mess
w/o the GPS.
It can also connect to Google service for looking up any place,
and use that info to start the route.
Thats much more accurate than internal data base which can be false by 50%.
Like gas stations converted to a home 10 years before. I ran into a few of these with the old Garmin.
Now left in danger mode of running out of fuel at night.
So always call ahead to verify.
using the math chart(einstein I'm not) figures out that after 151 mph I don't need flux capacitor modification to get back home before wife knows I left-correct! I know there was a reason I read this forum![]()

When I installed the speed-o-healer on my bike my speedo was 14.2 % fast, with the car tire and the 1800 final. Now reads right on.

I worked with a guy a few years ago that I said was adult A.D.D., he would start 30-40 things before finishing anything. I will say usually he would finish most of the things he started in his last 40-45 minutes of his shift. He is a nurse now and the thought of his A.D.D. in an E.R. is pretty scary, visions of empty IV's and people waiting for treatment. Oh never mind that is a normal E.R. anyway.
