The subject of the EOW (End Of Winter) ride came up. So lets set the Date for March 24th (Saturday).

Woo Hoo! The "Weather God" Jeff Renner of King 5 News has informed me via the talking tube that Saturday is supposed to be partly sunny. In fact it is the only window of decent weather for the next week or so. EOW ride here I come!

Izzy is going to take a putt up the hill for us to check on the road conditions. I'll post up what he finds.

Dean and I are going to hit Eagle Leather at 8 AM. If anyone wants to meet up with us there, feel free. Were heading down to the Red Barn in grand mound to hook up with a few other guys for the rest of the ride down. Hope to see a few of you down there.

I just came back from the Mt. too see how the roads are, here is the run down. From the Shell station up to about 25 mile the road is bare and wet today, from there to about 34 mile there is snow on the shoulder but the road was still bare. from 34 to 38 there was some patches of snow on the road but not bad except on the bridges where it was all white, from 38 up to about the 4000 ft level there were places where the road was all white but I think this was from the last day of snowing. Thursday and friday are suppose to be nice so I would think the snow plow will be up there making another pass or two so I predict clear roads except maybe a patch or two above 4000 ft. Have a fun and cold ride. Bob

I-5 south to Castle Rock exit, turn left over I-5 and you'll see a couple hundred bikes at the Shell station on the right staging up

For those new to this ride. I suggest you arrive at around 11am. The ride will depart at noon or shortly there after. There will be lots of people to mingle with and bikes to see. You can get something to eat at the gas stations deli. There is also a Burger King across the street. There is another buger joint and Subway, Up the street is a Mexican Restaurant as well as a couple others in the area. So lots to eat if you are hungry.

A bunch of SSR folks will be at HP. Guessing they'll be there around 9:00. Another group will be at the Red Barn at Grand Mound about the same time.

I have house guests for the weekend but will see what i can do to at least get to the Shell and say hi to everyone. The short rides to and from work throughout the winter are not really doing it for me, i need some real miles to blow the carbon out of the pipes.

Oh come on now Jim, I don't think it will be that bad that you show up with your daughter. Just act like you own the place and that they are all your loyal fans! Now go get a spray on tan, wear some big white rimmed sunglasses and get your pimp daddy clothes on with white leisure shoes.

If I do that I'll get arrested as a pimp for teenage girls. Think I'll stick to sweat pants, a t-shirt and yelling embarrassingly loud while I point at my daughter "Yeah baby, that's my girl!"
