OK... think we'll be ready... put new tubes & WWW on the 'primer bike', washed it, need to put the buffalo milke on it & it'll be ready to load... Just finined detailing Maria's ride... who hasn't been on it yet this yr ... took it for a short cigar blast and it's running just as I left it... perfect!
Got the tow vehicle all squared away... needed a T-stat... replaced fuel filters & air cleaner so I'm looking forward to see how much better fuel economy it'll get as the T-stat was killing my MPG... hoping to get 16-18 towing the bikes.
What's great about trailering down is all the crap we can bring... no more straping cases of beer on the bike or trying to stuff a bottle in a saddle bag... gonna have all that stuff on 'ice' ready to go once we hit the cabins. I wonder if its too late to schedule a pig roast by one of the locals down there... now thats a PARTY & would bring back some fond memories when I lived in NC.
What's the plan? I read that some are leaving Thursday night etc. what time to you plan on getting down there Friday? We could leave Thursday night and drive a few hrs also if that's the plan .... we haven't seen you guys in so long it's like a college reunionGonna be a great time!

Hi To All,
I know you'll all have a great time on this ride. I was one of ten riders from Willow Grove (and New Foundland, PA) who did this last summer (third week in July).
I hope the Cherohala Skyway is part of your plans. I'll be in Leesburg, FL for a bike week event this weekend. I'll be back in PA end of May/early June preparing my second bike (a 2001 Suzuki Volusia Intruder) for the Rt 66 Ride. I'm planning on doing that from June 7th to June 17th (it's an organized ride ridert66.com) We leave from Chicago, IL on June 9th and arrive in Santa Monica, CA on the 17th.
Hope to get to see and ride with youse guys this summer.

Then of course turns out I'm in IL. and will be riding back to Philly Friday.

Heading down to Scott's Powersports to pick up a FPR as I've been reading of all the failures & have this gut feeling mine w/ 55k on the clock could go at any time
Got the bikes strapped down and the mobile garage is ready to go... greased the bearings, checked the pressures of every tire that will be on the road this w/end.
