    Default Motorcops Envy This Guy

Sorry if this has been posted before, but it's the first time I've seen it.

It looks like he's running a motorcop course at high speed. Of course his bike weighs less and isn't as long ..... But WOW!

Very cool. In addition to a lighter bike with a shorter wheel base, the bike probably has more HP and torque and the driver probably has half the weight and twice the skill of the average cruiser driver.

Trying doing those cuts with a CT Well you know what they say, slower strokes for slower folks. Or is it different strokes for different folks.

Here is the video I love! I will say I feel a little pride when watching this video, for the simple fact it is not a honda guy, not a Harley guy, but an Officer. This is amazing skill and I would not come close to doing this.

some definite skillz. And nearly impossible lean angles.
They both have a good sense of where their bikes are in relation to the ground.

Just what I was thinking ,I saw a motorcop chase a guy on foot down in Atl. traffic one day and was amazed at how he cut through it and down the sidewalk then it looked like he gently laid the bike on it's side as he took a cpl quick steps and tackled the guy.Gotta respect their skills no doubt about that..
Not sure the Japanese course is the same but still no easy task to ride either at any speed.I felt lucky to make it through Wal Mart parking lot awhile ago...lolNo way could I do the course.

I guess that I'm not as impressed with the motor officer because I know at least a dozen guys that can do that stuff. I could when I joined this site in '07 (on the motor in my avatar)-- just not as quickly. One thing I gotta say about the Electra Glides and Road Kings is that they are balanced. Low center of gravity and MAN, can you lay that thing over! If you get in trouble, all you had to do is let out the clutch and it would stand itself up.

I look at that Japanese guy and and just think about how impressive he is. What he does is so quick, I don't know how he sees where the next move is.

Very impressive! and VERY obvious in the cop video he really demonstrates the motorman "head and eyes" technique.

The maneuvers these guys are doing are a matter of practice. Skills these guys learned make you much safer on the road. If taking your bike to extreme angles is natural to you when the time comes that you need to make an extreme maneuver you will have the skill to do so. Too many people learn that their abilities are limited in a life or death situation. Now I am not saying that these skills will stop you from ever having a wreck because they wont but it will prepare you to handle with confidence some very scary situations. Everyone should do themselves a favor and go to a empty parking lot every spring and practice their quick stops and avoidance techniques.
