After many years together, I parted with my first love. I wasn't getting the enjoyment from her that she once gave me when I rode her hard and long like she likes it. I found a new baby to ride who fits me better and she can be ridden even longer and harder. I thought I would keep my first love around for a quickie but I found myself neglecting her and riding my new baby every day. I thought I was a player and could handle two girls at once but I ain't as young as I used to be and can't show them both the love they deserve. So after a guy showed interest in my first love and my love for her, I decided to give her up to him so he can treat her like she likes to be treated, with love and affection.

Hi Gumbo, the new ride is a 2003 Durango Red Goldwing (it is listed in my sig). It is much more comfortable for the type riding we have progressed to and plan to in the future. Our plans are to take a 1-2 week bike trip every year as long as we are able. First trip was to the Smokey Mountains last August, next March...Key West Florida for our 30th Anniversary! Hopefully sometime before then a to Texas Hill Country?? Lots family obligations this year so Texas is iffy.

I know what you went through David. I had 2 bikes for a while and I thought I would give them equal amounts of attention and tlc, but after a while I started slacking. I was riding the new one more and more until I was having to force myself to ride the X. Plus, without a decent shop/garage, the upkeep on 2 bikes was a PITA. That was one beautiful X you had. Sometimes the best thing we can do for the ones we love is turn them loose.
