Default Wanting to put the ME880 200/50ZR-18 on my VTX1800F. Any Mods required to do this?

Looking to put the ME880 200/50ZR18 on my 1800F.
I seem to remember reading here that no mods were required to use this 200 on my bike.
I have done many searches to try to find these posts/threads but cannot locate them now.
Can anyone confirm that I will not need to grind, cut, file anything to put this tire on?

Thanks for the info & help guys!

It fits just perfect, I ran a few of them. I prefer the Bridgestone BT028, designed for the new VMAX and the FURY chopper http://www.directlineparts.com/produ...pid=9204&str=0 I think you can get one for less thru Motorcycle Superstore or get Directline to price match

My 200 rubbed and that was even after I ground the inside fender parts down a little. So they do not fit on all.

The F fits great, but C's need some trim work under the fender

I just replaced that tire on my 1800R that runs F wheels. It fit fine with no mods. The problem was I couldn't get more than 5,800 miles out of it.

I hope that is not my case. One reason I went the ME880 route was hearing that guys were getting decent to good mileage out of them.
I have had the front one on for about 500 mile so far.

With Progressive 11 1/2 in shocks on my 'F' I had to do some grinding. Also after moving my turn signals to the grab bar I had to make sure that the mounting bolts did not extend inside the inner frame rails. Friends with 'F's had no issue, so I think it's a coin flip on if you will have a problem.

6K is about normal life span for the Metz and the Bridgestone. If you want a longer lasting tire you'll have to go Darkside. I say this from personal experience because I have run both tires in the past before changing to a CT.

So far I'm loving the feel and smoothness of the ME880 200/55ZR18.
My first Dyna beads usage too .
