Once the mod bug hits, the bike is never done. I joined this forum before I bought my X in 08. Came home from the dealer, and with 30 miles on the clock I was drilling holes in the pipes to open her up. Its been a long list ever since.

Let's just hope that spring comes soon just like 2012. Riding commenced in March. Gas prices going up is a real pain in the ass, you know just where you wear your wallet.

remember when Bush was president when gas prices hit near 4 bucks and daily papers said Bush did it. What will he do about it!! Not a peep now.

Near 40 mpg makes it enjoyable even with it going up some. Should hit 4 bucks by late March, April.

For those who voted for him you got what you wanted how does it taste. I know its nobody here. Higher gas prices coming and next recession is begining to start, things will probably stay the same for the next few years. Well higher gas prices should boost new and used motorcycle scooter sales so nows the time to try to sell your bike if you are looking to move up to something else. Also yesterday saw all my local gas stations on sunday to monday make a .15 cent increase in fuel prices.

Gas prices have been going up and down just ike the temps here in NW Indiana. Less than a week ago I saw the gas price on my way to work at 3:30 am @ 3.95 and that is the cheap stuff. Within this last week I have seen it fluctuate from 3.69-3.89. I paid 3.88 yesterday and this morning it is 3.78....Absolutely crazy...

These gas price increase is only happening because obamma has given the green light to any and all from islam that want to harm the USA.

Expect no quarter in this cold war of revenge that's been declared on us.

As always,..I use my moto for sales, collections and simple service calls. W/S and softbags have become the norm for it.

On the one hand I like that more people are looking toward motorcycles.

On the other hand, there are some people I see getting motorcycles that don't have the first dang clue and have no business on one.

I didn't buy my motorcycle for the fuel mileage savings. That's the wrong reason to buy a motorcycle. The cost of the bike alone would take years to pay back in fuel savings, I haven't even added taxes/registration/upkeep fees in yet. No. Buy a bike to see the open road.


As far as comrade obummer. . . . well, he's run the financial system into the ground, run the debt thru the roof, is destroying the constitution bit by bit. In a little while we won't have to worry about him destroying anything else. . there won't be anything left.

1badta95 ~ I feel for ya brother concerning rain in the morning, but up here we never know when it's going to rain. We carry rain gear in the left side bag 24/7, also helps if the temps happen to drop quickly.

papavball~ yep, just under $4 over here too. I work just over the river in NH and the Sunoco dealer has started 5 cents off per gal. if you pay cash. A
lso, the Sunoco rewards gas card rebates .05 per gal. if ya happen to use it.

When gas prices dropped arpound 50 or 60 cents a gallon did anyone give Obama credit? Nope. I think there are some crooked little fingers that are to stoopud to look back over the last 4 years and see what the economy has really been doing? Jobs are up and housing is opening back up and still people are bitching? I think there are those that would complain no matter what.

The problem with using the bike to save gas is, my trip to and from work in my truck is about 25 miles, on the bike it's 75

I live about 40 miles west of Buffalo In Hamilton Ontario. Gas is presently hovering around $1.32 a litre and has been for the last month or so. After converting to U.S. gallons, we are paying almost $4.70 a gallon. Sucks to be Canadian sometimes...

True and simply evil in my opinion. Amazing how many cling to fuzzy math numbers to bolster their position, like job #'s when the eligible aged work force increased each month by 23000, when just listening and watching the man shows what a shyster. A Shame.
