Default 1300c to 1800c front wheel

I am looking at a 1800c fron wheel and according to HDL the 1800 has dual front brakes. does anyone know if it will work with a single front brake system?

It will work, but you'll have a large ugly bald spot where the rotor should be.

But, you'll also have to make the rotor work with your 1300 forks too. It's larger than your 1300 rotor and will hit the caliper. It's not a straight swap

    Agreed.

The 1800 front rim from most all accounts here (I thought) requires the use of the 1800 forks.

You could install a CBR 954 rotor. its a direct bolt on to an 1800 rim (same offset as a 1800 rotor as well) and I believe its the same diameter as the 1300 rotor. I was going to try and bolt one on my bike but the fender mount on the 1800 interfered with the rotor but that shouldn't be a problem with a 1300.

If your interested I have a rotor I can sell you. Along with a 4 piston caliper for a cbr 954

I'll try and drum up a picture of my mock-up for ya.
