Cool Fall colors along 89, Mount Equinox Ride Columbus Day weekend.

Foliage update: 9/28/13, Heading north on 89 to Quechee, VT.
    Colors are just getting interesting.
Leaves are mostly just starting to turn in most places along the way.
Lots of reds and ruddy browns.
Just 20 miles south of Quechee, at the rest stop there were some nice colors,
but still lots of greens waiting their turn to morph to their own brand of brilliance.
Next weekend and the weekend after will probably see peek colors in lower VT.

Some pics taken 20 miles south of Quechee/Wodstock exit on 89.

Mount Equinox ride planned for Columbus Day weekend.
Long day in the saddle, early start time. Going to be some great roads and spectacular views.
Highlight will be the ride to the top of Mount Equinox on Skyline Drive in VT.
Home by nightfall... more details to follow.

Thanks for the update on the state of the northern foliage. Good to know, I had been hearing they were probably already at peak right about now.

How do we get Moo315 in on this? I mentioned the Mt Equinox ride possibly on the 12th to him last night on facebook and he said he never heard of it...Is there some way we could direct him to this post? Thanks!!

He might have seen it in this post. It's when Paul and I first mentioned it. He mentioned his availability for the 6th lower in the thread.

Your colors are ahead of ours in Southern Ontario Canada which makes sense since you're further North.....colors are just starting to change and should be full blown in about two weeks. I was in the Adirondacks yesterday and they are moving along too but very little bright colors yet

BRP is on my list, maybe next year. Mama won't leave the north if there is any chance our oldest and his new wife are going to make babies this winter. I have to send him our riding schedule so he can "work" around it!!

    Inside joke.
My guess is DD, but could change depending on the roll call.
Paul has been really busy at work, but my guess is either he or I will post details in a day or 2.

It's on South Willow in Manchester. I think it's the street that Mike lives on.
Click on the Google map link and I think you'll see it.
