Default Air Intake System on VTX 1300R

What is everyone's favorite Air Intake Systems for VTX 1300R?

I'm currently looking at the Forcewinder XR Air Intake System
or the KN Air Intake System.

I just ordered a Thunder mfg Tornado. Similar to the Forcewinder but, 3" intake pipe and a lot less.

I also ordered the Thunder Tornado and hopefully it ships sometime at the beginning of March. There are two things you might want to check. 1. are looks more important than performance and 2. When will it be available. I waited several months for the Kuyakyn Hi-Five, but the delivery kept getting put off, I lost interest and changed to the Thunder. Hopefully the delay won't be too long.

maybe to some looks are more important than performance, but if it dosent perform better than stock why bother, it should perform and look better than stock.

I looked at this particular one and do like it. I would like to know how it works. Also do you have to rejet when you add the air box? I didn't have to rejet when I added my Roadhouse Slip ons.

I would say yes, you do have to rejet. Get the Thunder jet kit.

I'm with roogie, HiFive Kury all the way! Had mine on order since 11/03. Hey Roogie, any guesses as to when? How big do you think it'll be? That picture is computer generated, but looks very real.

I'm not sure that pic is computer generated. If you go to Kury's site they have one on a V-Star. I emailed them last month and word was March for delivery. We will just have to be patient.

    Roogie,

That does look really cool on the Road Star. Is that an open breather that requires re-jetting?
