Default Look back at the stimulus bill...read it

obama and crew slipped half of their "healthcare reform" ground work in on all of us in the stimulus bill passed early this year. One of the items they slipped in is ready to go into action when they figure out how to get their final bill
passed. There is in place a 15 person panel to decide what care will be given
right down to the point of care, if the doctors don't follow the rules, there will be heavy fines and penalties. If this happens, most doctors will leave the field of medicine, they will have no choice.
Why can't even the liberal fools see that healthcare reform is not about lowering cost and helping people without coverage, it is all about having total control over all citizens, it is about rationing healthcare, it is about "change"
of our country to a marxist/socialist country. There will be no liberty!

I think it was a disgrace to call this a STIMULUS bill. What is was, was a celebration spending orgy by the democrats that they were finally in control again and a bill to pass all the pork barrel spending that had been pent up for the prior 8 years. Stimulus is just one of many words used by career politicians of both parties to substitute for and cover up PORK!

Don't you think the private health insurance companies have panels that decide what care and coverage they will provide? How else do you think they turn a profit?

Nope, that's between you and your doctor. Right now it's illegal for anyone else to know unless you authorize it. I've had no problems with my private insurer. It helps to read a summary of your policy to know the actual coverage. The only people who decide what's in your policy do that BEFORE HAND. So know your policy.
They turn a profit by investing your premiums and statistically evaluating risk reward for each policy.
Percentage wise they don't even rank in the top 25 of the large corporation profit margins.
I also heard the same thing the OP stated on the news tonight. Hope it's not true.

Between you and your doctor... really? So your doctor can prescribe any medication for you s/he wants you to take, or call for any procedure for you s/he wants you to have?

Your health insurance company has a list of prescriptions and procedures it won't cover, that was determined by a group within their company.

I'm sorry, did I not just say to read a summary of your policy to know the actual coverage????
Again It's illegal for your doctor to give any information to anyone without your authorization.
I never said your doctor could prescribe any medication or procedure he or she wants you to have did I???
Are you in La La land???

No, "La La land," here, my eyes are wide open. Perhaps you should go back and re-read what I originally stated, and you'll see that it's true.

Your private insurance company takes your premiums and gives the monies out to your doctor for procedures and medicines that they see fit to allow your doctor to provide for you. It states in your policy what your private insurer will and will not cover, irregardless of whether or not your doctor (a highly trained person who should know what's best for you) thinks you should have the procedure or medicine.

Your private insurance company has put itself clearly between you and your doctor, whether you think so or not.

Darn, I thought I stated in almost every post I made on this thread to READ YOUR POLICY.
Sorry if that didn't get through.
I'm not going to continue to beat this dead horse.

I never really considered this a stimulus package. It doesn't stimulate anything. If you want to stimulate the economy with spending, you have to couple that with tax cuts to small business owners and businesses in general. If you read the article below, there is no incentive for businesses to hire anyone right now. As these businesses realize that they can do the same or more productivity with the same amount of people, what is the incentive to hire more that will add to your costs. I read a WSJ article that stated that the 640,000 jobs supposedly saved or created with the stimulus package may actually be lower than that number. Surprise!
