I am going to be putting a 240-250 set up on my new 07F model and was wondering has anyone put the sissy bar on the bike with a 1.5 seat??
I have only seen it on the bike with a Solo Seat and the Pillion pad. any pictures to see of both. My old bike in the below signature shows my Sumo X set up and I had the 1.5 seat but this time around, I want the sissy bar. ( i just like that low look.) Thanks

I have one for mine. What I like about it is the tool free mounting. The only complaint I have is it rubs the tail section a little and leaves black marks. I dont have a pic with it on but I'll get one for you friday unless someone else posts one before then.

Thanks so much my friend. I really appreciat you taking the time. Let me ask, if you did ride 2 up, would the seat placement with the 1.5 give a comfortable setting to the sissy bar?

Sean, how much 2 up riding are you planning to do. The 1.5 does look much better, but Sherry could not do more than 100 miles on it. I know it's more, but I went ahead and bought the solo with the booty pad too. She is much happier now.

I've never had any complaints about the position of the sissy bar. I have it more for security than comfort. Makes em happier when they don't feel like their sliding off the back.

Also wanted to tell you, if you do not go with the sissy bar, the struts look better without the bar slots cut in them. I did not want the slots, so I had to tell Kurt and he cut me new ones without them.

No! In the top of the fender strut, there's a slot cut for the sissy bar to slip into. If you do not have the bar on, the slots show.

I gotcha. Did you decide not to run the sissy bar? or did you buy 2 sets of struts?

The bar seems pretty much useless to me. To low, short and angled back to much. To me, the only thing it would be good for is to keep the passenger from sliding off. As for the struts. When Morris ordered his 240 kit, the struts come with the slots for the sissy bar. That's the way Kurt sends them now. I did not like seeing the slots. My struts got tore up in the crash, so I called Kurt and he cut me the old style without the slots. I got the flu, and it's kickin' my arse.
