Just curious to how many miles per year do you average? I like to shoot for a mere 3,000 a year. I'm at about 2,400 right now. So I might make it to 4,000! I know some guys that can get 3,000 miles in during a month! Wish I had the time!

Depends on stuff that varies with each of us. Some don't ride in the rain. Some don't ride in the extreme heat or cold. Some don't ride at night. Some, like me, don't ride to work because of a less than ideal parking situation. Some, also like me, have issues from illness or injury. Gonna be all over the place. In the five years I have had this bike I have put about 20,000 on it but it is different each year. Three years ago I had a wreck and was laid up and didn't ride for 6 months.
I would put maybe about 6-8 thousand/year under ideal conditions (for me). |

I have only ridden mine to church on Sunday morning during the summer.
Maybe 300 to 500 miles a year.

I average 7000 a year and that is Michigan weather. Just got home from a trip to Colorado and back. No trailering for me.

first five years I avg'd 10000 a year, from March to March, and that was while I was living in WA and had it put up 3 months out of the year.... this year its been down to about 3500.

John yeah I know you are joking but the thing is for some folks that is all they can do. The year I got banged up three years ago it happened in April right at the beginning of the season and just began riding again in Sept very gingerly and sparingly all against doctors orders so basically I missed the whole year. Don't even think I got a thousand miles that year. And since then still recuperating believe it or not so riding is not so automatic.

12K per year. I'm in Central Florida so the weather allows for year round riding. That and it's way more fun than driving the car with more than double the mpg's

In the past 12 months I've racked up 19k miles, but I have no off season and ride regardless of weather.

In my second season. Went only 800 miles on my first
. Have 3300 miles now and counting. I hope to make 6000 or more by the end of the riding season.

I generally ride about 10,000 miles a year. That's just going back and forth to work and into town to get milk. I never get to go on a trip longer that 75 miles away. Hopefully some day! - John.

I bought my X in Jan 2006. I now have 44,500 miles on it. I bought my Kawasaki in April 2009 - I have 14,700 miles on it.
That averages to over 13K per year in a place where you really cant ride December through February. If you take out the winter months it averages 1500 per month. If I could, I'd ride more....

Averaged about 7K for the first two seasons. Then there was a total knee replacement, total hip replacement, and a broken ankle, all cutting into my riding time. Then there is upstate NY weather. Since I bought her in May, 2003, I flipped 28K yesterday. That comes out to 4K per year average. Certainly not impressive, but all fun miles.

I got mine on Memorial Day in 08 with 8300 on her. Just rolled over 35K yesterday, so 25K in a little over 2 years.
