SOLD!!
I have a like new Kuryakyn 1555 Drivers backrest fits 1300 and 1800 R/S. Here is a link to the description and install instructions: http://www.kuryakyn.com/index.cfm/go...D/60/IMID/1029 Please note: It will NOT work with the hondaline "standard" backrest/luggage carrier mounting rails. These are the ones that mount using the 2 fender rail mounting holes closest to the front of the bike. If your brackets use the rear holes it should fit fine. This is the reason for selling. The tech folks at Kuryakyn were NO help! Will work with the Mustang seats as well as stock. Not sure about others but if you can change the mounting brackets on the bottom of your drivers seat it should work fine. This is required to mount it. See the install instructions via the link above please. First $110 can have it (shipped to lower 48 only). $199 new and cheapest I have seen it is $179. Thanks...

To mount:
You have to remove the stock seat mounting bracket from the seat pan and replace with the included brackets to create the offset necessary to allow the bar to fit. Not difficult at all. I have a mustang seat and the seat bracket is riveted on but easily removed and replaced. Other members have used it with the mustang seats. My problem stems from the lack of space on top of the fender rail with the standard sissybar/luggage rack brackets. They bolt on using the forward 2 bolts of the fender rail. The forward edge of the bracket does not allow any room for the upright of the driver backrest to sit down on top of the fender rail where it needs to go. If your sissybar/luggage carrier mounting brackets do not use the forward 2 fender rail bolts there should be no problem mounting this backrest. It is a snug fit with the mustang wide touring rider and passenger set up but would fit if I changed out the sissybar and carrier brackets to something else. Not willing to do all that though. Thanks
