So I was out yesterday for a Welcome Home Vietnam Vets ride in South Indy yesterday. The guy next to me had a VTX 1300 and his handlebars looked longer and more swept back. Everytime I looked at it, I thought it would be great for a more relaxed arm position and also more room on the bar for my creature comfort stuff.
Has anyone with a VTX 1800 C bought a new handlebar for the same reason and if so, where did you get it and what was the specifications of the product.
There has been some posts on here about that. I am getting ready to change mine also. From what I have read the vtx 1800r bars work great with stock c risers. It looks like only the brake line has to be changed . I have found a bar used the i plan on picking up tuesday.
I had the Baron's X-bars on my 1800C and loved them. More pullback (though not quite as much as the 1800R bars), and the stock cables and hoses fit just fine. Definitely recommend checking them out.
I just bought an Ultimate Fat Boy. Love the seat, but I am hoping some better handlebars would not give me as much hand faituge. I am always dropping my hands to get blood recirculating.
