Default Hondaline Lightbar & Lowers

I found out the hard way that Hondaline Lowers can't go on the same bike as a Hondaline Light Bar. The folks at the dealership didn't tell me this when I bought both at the same time. It wasn't until I got to the last step of installing the lowers onto the bike that I discovered that the turn signal lens nacelles are in the same space the lower shields need to be. Soooo..... does anyone have any recommendations as to which lowers work with a Hondaline light bar?

+1 on Glen's extension!
Worked excellent for me, although I have the NC Chrome lowers and the Honda light bar.
It also serves to bring the headlight out to accentuate the chrome head light better.

David:

I have the National Cycle 2-up Switchblade windshield and Hondaline light bar on my 2007 VTX-1300R.

The NC chrome metal lowers are too flashy for me. So I went with the Memphis Shades lowers:

They will JUST fit between the bottom of the windshield and the tops of the turn signal housings. Note that I have about a 2" gap between the headlight nacelle and the bottom of the windshield cutout. It's like the Memphis Shades lowers are custom designed for the fit. I think they look great, too.

So far I'm real pleased with these lowers. They DO knock a lot of wind buffeting off.

Good luck.

A headlight extension will extend out your light bar giving you the necessary space to USE your Hondaline lowers. Additionally, it will show off your chrome headlight bucket too. Very easy to install and not expensive.
You need to decide how much you want to extend, 2" - 3" - 4".
Since you already have Hondaline lowers, by all means use them, at this point it doesn't matter whether I'm using the NC lowers.
Here's a few pictures of my scoot with the extension.

I currently have a memphis fats windshield on an '03 VTX 1300 Retro. I'm interested in the Honda line lowers AND the lightbar. Does anyone know if Glen's 3" headlight extension will allow me to use the hondaline lightbar and the lowers with the memphis fats windshield?

I know without anything, I can't use the hondaline lightbar with my windshield. I'm hoping the extension will allow me to. I kinda like the look of the the headlight out further anyway, and of course the lowers are of great interest

Thanks!
