Default CPR Glenn's Garage

This little footnote is for all the know it alls (like me) that think they can do anything with a dremmel.
Upon buying a CPR from Glenn's, I opted NOT to get the kit which includes the rivet remover. I mean really, how hard can it be to remove a rivet???
Got the cover off, was ready to install and we sat... and sat... and sat, trying to figure out how to drill, cutt... SOMETHING that rivet out.
I have the solution for you... You write Ryan at Glenn's garage and ask him to send that damn tool. And he will!
I now return you to our regular scheduled programing...
Thanks Ryan.

I both ground and drilled. It took me over an hour and unfortuneatly, the drill ran at an angle and I ended up having to buy the part that the cable slides into, which only comes as a $40.00 subassembly.

I was given a CTR as a gift, so I didn't have the removal tool and had to use a Dremel. I know other people have mentioned that it's no big deal to cut the rivet off, but for me, it was the biggest PITA of anything I've ever done to the bike. If I had to do it over again, I get the tool no matter what. It's like I tell my wife every time I'm going in Sears to get some new Craftsman tool.... there's no substitute for having the right tool for the job..... ever.

Talking Best thing I've for my bike yet

Got the pkg today and had it installed in a matter of minutes! I'm no mechanic either, just cursed with common sence. Great improvement to the bike , THANK YOU, and keep em coming!

A big +1 on the CPR

I broke my left wrist 12 weeks ago, installed this , and can now use the clutch with no pain or inflammation after riding. It's amazing what a little leverage can do.

Default How hard to install?

I am not that mechanically inclined, but I do have a good mechanic. Can someone explain the steps for installing the CPR? I would like to get one but want to know what it is going to take to install it.

Thanks!

I'd like to put one on my wife's 1300. She is always complaining about how hard it is to work the clutch. I'd appreciate the instructions as well so I will know what I'm in for.

thanks

Thumbs up

I installed my CPR last weekend and it was a breeze. The instructions were very clear and I did opt for the rivet tool as it has been highly recommended. Worth every penny.

I just put mine on too. I had a problem with the rivet tool not lining up, but I feel it was my fault, not the tools fault. Glen and I talked on the phone, and he helped me solve my problems. I love it!

Thanks Glen!
