Default Victory Vision on autopilot

Check this out. Guy was riding on the back of his Vision shooting video all the way. Must be a pretty balanced bike!

Looked like he was traveling on the Blue Ridge. Perhaps he fell off and his wife didn't notice and just kept filming. In any event, wreckless.

I test rode a Vision about 3 weeks ago........................the balance on this machine is as close to perfect as you can get. This bike is huge in size and weight and feels like a feather riding it. What amazed me was its ability to balance at zero movement, a balance and turn at creep movement................................

I am already sold on this bike, and saving.....................

Scares me to watch. I have an old friend who claims he could do this with his Harley Ultra. He told me that Texas has 100-s of miles of very good straight roads and he didn't dare do it on anything but a long straight stretch of miles of open hiway.
I thought he was BSing me? Maybe not!

I could enver balance a bicycle without holding the bars, so no amtter how well balanced a Mc is, I cou;dn't do that either, but I'll say that was impressive!

I did not watch the whole video but what i did see was it never showed the right hand grip. The guy could have been leaning back with his right hand on the handle bar.

Watch it again, and focus on his mirrors. Neither hand is on the grips.

My VTX ALWAYS pulls to the right (slightly, but always) if I let go of the bars for a anything,... (My dealer has never been able to correct or explain it, other than the 'weight of the exhaust'... anyone else know why or how to cure it?)

So, aside from the obvious balance of the bike, It looks kinda like an accident waiting to happen to me,... "Look, ma,... NO HANDS!... then, CRASH & BURN!!"

As for the right grip,... I agree with Lone Rider,... I went back an re-watched again paying closer attention,... towards the end of the clip, he's back far enough that you can see both grips at the same time, in the mirrors,... at that point, there's no hand(s) visible on either of the grips!...

(Still think it's a dumb stunt, though!)

Kind of debunks the theory that you cannot lean a bike into a turn, that you must countersteer. Still, stupid is as stupid does. I kept waiting for bambi to jump and and say BOO!. Dude wouldn't have been able to do anything other than crap his pants.

I guess if he needed to do an emergency stop he would have to throw the camera down and try not to crash.= trashed camera and maybe bike too.

When filming like this it is important that you use the ZOOM feature on the camera to avoid problems.

scenario 1
someone pulls out in front of you: ZOOM out to give yourself more time to react and more space to stop!

scenario 2 the road narrows: ZOOM out to have a wider path!

I don't see what's so impressive?

It's a motorcycle and it's moving.....doesn't really matter where you are sitting, the bike wants to stang up straight and you can lean it into sweeping curves pretty easy.

The Vision isn't magic and the rider isn't special, the X will do it too

Cool

LOL! I'm gonna try it tomorrow on one of Victory's test bikes!

NOT!

I will admit though, I looked at the Vegas Jackpot and fell in love... and the bike is nearly perfectly balanced - effortless to stand up. The X is like a tank in comparison... but I love my tank.

So the way I see it... I'll keep the X, give it to the wife and go buy the Jackpot - or maybe the Kingpin... hmmmm?

Or not...

It does look like one of the tamer stretches of the BRP. I'll be there next week starting at the bottom after we do the Dragon and Cherohala Skyway.

Now that is just plain stupid. As I was watch a bit of the video, I envisioned a car coming around one of the blind curves on the wrong side of the road or a deer jumping out into the road. What would this idiot's reaction time have been?
